October is full of Halloween fun. This year, since we knew my husband may be off on his first job driving somewhere in North America, we decided to start early. Already we have gone to one of the local haunted house attractions. These cheap thrills are just irresistible to me! This particular one consisted of two creepy walk-through houses and were really well done. The live actors really stayed in character, were creepy, and the place was well decorated, went on and on, and had unique features. Next year, this will be my attraction of choice. Most of the other haunted houses I have been to do not compare. I recommended it to everyone.
Another thing we did was head to the theatre to enjoy some scary movies. Unfortunately, my husband picked up tickets while I was still at work so we ended up watching The Last Witch-Hunter with Vin Diesel instead of one of the other scary choices but it was still enjoyable. Gotta save something for closer to Halloween! Finally we went over to a local pumpkin patch. Our goal was to buy some pumpkins for later carving but we also ended up enjoying corn on the cob, apple cider, and a hay ride. It was a great outing especially since we picked up a few treats to take home along with the pumpkins such as dill pickles preserved at the farm. It has been great to spend some quality time together doing fun and silly things.
